I want to thank everyone for your support, and say that i am totaly thankful for even the littlest comment about my work. Ive always found that feedback is inspirational. Im moving my work to a full domain... = VisualComa.com = ... Im really excited about this. my plan is to keep my work going but it wont be the main focus for me. Im going to merge my other blog and this one together and expand on some new ideas and try find the box im in and cut the tape. I'll be sure to let you all know when things are in order.

Im down in the bus with brody right next to the Crystal Ballroom. I got to see the The Myriad and Phil Wickham. I really dig The Myriad, they have a great sound and a really good stage presance.

After all this were going to go up to Seattle and hang out. there is another show tomorrow so I'll be able to see the crowder show (i didnt get to see them play last night but I get the feeling their going to be good, they are the headliners).

you know how sometimes you realize the date, and then you have to take a second and think about it. "holy crap its the end of august and its going to be winter soon."

it was just spring and summer feels like it just started in a way, but time really fly's.

Regardless, though, of my work, what ever I do. be it paving, graphics, training cats for the circus. I think its key to find reason for being where you are in life. I think Pacients and Compassion are two of the reasons I am where I am right now.

have you ever been in a car looking out the window and see someone in your peripheral, then when you go to look they slip right behind a telephone pole. then just as they would normaly come out from behind the pole a car drives in from of them letting them slip behind a bush just as the car goes away. In the end you never actually get to see the person at all.

This seems to happen to me alot. I look to see a person and it's like there trying to hide from me. its just weird.

I've always wonderd, in a SciFi kinda way, maybe I'm not supposed to see those people.

Today I went to work and on my papers for the day my superintendent wrote on the map "Randy's Vacation House". The job was right next to the train tracks and right next to an overpass and oh, not to mention 3 or 4 massive dumpsters. I really didnt pay much attention to the note, but when i got to job I found this guy sleeping next to the big dumpster on an old delapidated matress. Funny thing is that I almost kicked a piece of styraphome on his head before I saw him there. I thought he would get up when we started to work but he didnt.

I went and got the tractor and put the jack-hammer attachment on it and started to make alot of noise about 10ft away from him. I didnt even see him move. Crazy. He wasnt dead cause we all saw him move later, but he slept though alot. I made fun of him and I think we all took a turn. (I know that is a mean thing to do; that is why there is more below)

It just make me wonder how he got there and what was he doing last night that he could sleep through all that.

Riding to Kansas

Most of you know my dad, some of you might not. For the most part he has grown up quite a bit since I was in HS. Thank goodness. Actually, now that all us kids are grown and making our own choices he's free. It took him a while but he got a bike. As you can see above it's nice and shiny and has wheels and all the important parts.

He's riding to Kansas to see my sister. (who is going to have a baby soon, which i think is the 3rd and last) Back to my dad. He's never riden as far as Kansas so...

Cool thing is, He's coming up to Portland to see me first cause he wants to go through the northern states and drop down through S Dakota.

Yes, he has a monster beard and long hair to go with his bike.

Clackamas County Finally comes

Jenny and I have been here at this appartment -Causy OverLook- complex for about six months. About 2 or 3 months ago a couple of people moved in to the very bottom appartment. Turns out, they like to party. Im not exatly sure, but I dont think they sleep more than 1 or 2 nights a week.

Anyway, Clackamas Sheriffs department finaly came out cause some guy was hitting some one (I think there was a girl involved) and the call was finaly made. The only bad part, other than the obviouse, is that it happend out in the street and I dont think it made its way back to the appartment. This mean there is no chance of the people getting kicked out. So its only a matter of time before I see that car again.

so, I went to Washington today and saw the NHRA racing. Even though I know going to these races is one more step down that path to being a true Hick but it was free. I got food a shirt a hat and a beer cosy with my ticket, although i may never actually where any of it outside of work, I have use the beer cosy. I must say though, those cars are freaking loud and they can go around 300mph. thats kinda insane.

Detrimental Loyalty

I have many vices, some more controling than others, others more harmful than some. My delema is this, a friend of mine has yet to figure out the meaning of financial independance. Simple question is, how much is enough? When do you stop helping and move on.

Ive never had to abandon a friendship,(I dont plan to now) but sometimes I think we have to grow up. I supose that to some degree that alot of people out their could look at what im doing (which is being financialy involved with a friend way beyond my means) and would probably want to slap me in the face. What is Loyalty and Honor? Are the meanings of these words worth Hiding behind because you know that someone has little self worth. Most of the time when I hear these kinds of things Im in a movie or reading a book of some kind. Perhaps someone is giving a serman or a speach. When was the last time you noticed a person who was Loyal or Honorable?

My reason for asking this is, I feel Ive hidden behind the meaning of these words to help a friend. I wish him the best, Im just wondering if Ive added to his problem or am I actually doing something that Jesus would want me to do? (appart from the bitching and moaning)

If you made a video thats not made to be funny or make a point than I guess your making it just to make it. in the 50's they called it Art for Art Sake it didnt have to be a well crafted, blood sweating master piece for all ages to adore chiaroscuro... they made their abstract works of art because they enjoyed the act of making them. I been here for about 2 years now and ive made some new friends and met some people. thing is though i havnt yet met anyone that is anything like my friends from back home. Im not saying anything bad about my new friends, but im curiouse as to what changes have taken place since ive lived here that I wouldnt notice. I miss something, but Im not sure what it is.

so with the new transformers movie coming out I thought I would try and find some of the old cartoons. Jenny has an account with TV Torents and I downloaded the full 3rd season. the only thing is I didnt realize that season is after the Movie that came out long ago when Prim Died. so its the newer of the old cartoon. But im going to get the first and second season next.

IM not sure if most people really care about the new movie coming out but I was kinda disapointed cause of the new style. I think i'll get over it and i'll like it in the end. I just hope they dont make it suck by doing some stupid story line.

so for those of you that have never been to auburn, I posted this pic so that you might know what your missing. although I guess that looking at water doesnt really do much for you. anyway, if your ever in Auburn, Ca go from auburn to cool on Hwy 49 and you'll see a great place to swim. summers are hot there but the water is worth it.

I think it was last Apr. I went to Bend area for work. We were building access roads for the fire department and some local residents so they could get fire insurance. the crappy thing for the owner of the company is that his garage burned down about 2 weeks before we got their.

Roumer has it that his neighbor started the fire but no one can prove it. not sure myself but he is a little old and strange. none the less we had a good time and I got the job of smashing all the burned up stuff with a backhoe. Demolition Man, no not like Sylvester. im not that cool.

so not much here in portland, Im looking into buying a new truck but I have to do my taxes first and then I should be able too. Traleving to Portland

Well were leaving Leavenwoth in just a few hours and were going back to Portland. Spending a week with a girlfriends parents is a very interesting thing. Her parents are realy cool and layed back, but I, on occation, am not. I start to get overly ancy and become short tempered and impacient when I dont get enough time to just be. Not sure what I mean by that but if you know me than you know what that means.

Im going back to portland, yipee. thats just covered in sarcasm.

I like work and I like things to be in their place. But I half expect my house to be a complete disaster and I just hope that my stuff is still in one piece. I always think something is going to be broken when I get back, but usualy everything is just fine. We'll see.

So Yes I am having my third christmas with Jenny's parents. its a little weird though cause their British and that weird enogh. But I havnt been to a christmas with a girlfriend in about 5yrs so it should be interesting. I have a tendency to be real quiet when Im doing something with a family for the first time. course all of you out their that know me even a little know that my sound level can change drasticly in a matter of a few conversations. we are however drinking Mamosas so im happy about that.

So this is my first tree of presents, just the first stop on my way to the mass marketing genius that is xmas. I say xmas for the obvious reasons of the long-term use of over gifting.

Research has finally proved that as well as Soy, the over gifting of presents is feminizing our youth producing early maturity in girls and prolonged maturity in boys. What a tragedy that we could not foresee. Due to this a national comity has be created to over see the use of alternate gift concepts. The goal is to find an alternate way to express the overall unexplained phenomenon of Christmas. (Even though we already know what it is)

auburn is a nice town but not much to do

i get three christmases this year, Portland, Auburn, Leavenworth. and not just three different places in a day cause thats all one christmas. my fiend jim said he was getting three but it all in one day so thats just one. still though im happy to be going home to see the family and friends back in auburn.

so Im going to Leavenwoth, Wa Jan 14 for a week to see jenny's family for christmas. this will be my third and final christmas for the year, which she says is lucky. she's right. were going to go sledding right under this sign.

her dad has a snowplow on his truck so maybe we can drive that thing around and plow some snow and be hillbillies for a day. funny thing is though, her dad is no-where near a hill-billy. it should be fun.

so, we lost power last night and the creek behind my house almost flooded. but Id have to say so far that I havnt seen the devistaion of the wind yet. althought, I havent left the house.

the storm of 89 4th grade was the worst storm ive been in and ive yet to see anything even close. but I'll let you know.

Im acctually going home for the christmas time, not actually christmas but around then. its been around 3yrs for me so im excited.

for those who dont know, im #4 of seven... we all went to the same school from the youngest age you can go to school through sienor yr. everyone knew everyone, and everyone knew a Hicks... Ive been told that there are going to be about 25-30 from just my imediate family, and about 50 from ants to uncles and cousins. brady buch family's dont count. were all blood.

Alright so, last night I went and saw a Floater acoustic show in downtown portland and it was awsome! we had the table in front of the stage and we had some beers and a couple of wiskies and it was an amazing show. But I found out last night that you cant do U-turns. so it caust me $150 to learn that you cant do that. I think that is a load of crap.

a little side note Jennifer Lopez should not come up when you do a google search of U-turn

so here's an interesting one.

I was at work at a COSTCO and we were repairing their parkinglot, I was on the tractor and had been there for a couple of hours. after a bit of time in one of those machines you get tossed around quietabit and I had to piss... So, I stopped in a parking stall in the back and opened up the engine compartment so that I would have a little privacy. I parked too close to the curb and when I was done I stepped back and tripped on the curb, fell into the exaust. On my Arm.. it sucked but now i have C shaped scar, and when im wearing my wife beater it looks like Im cool. cause I always wear them with my mustache.

I was going to talk about it but im not going to cause I just cant get my fingers to type it. so I'll talk about another story about it. when I moved from my last house, last june, my roommate said that he was looking for money under the couch but instead he found a pile of fingernails and/or toenails.

wait, wait,... I just had jenny walk behind me and she was going to read this and I told her not too, so instead I told her and she said that it was her that found them. which means that she was helping me clean the house; i dont blame her for not picking them up.

the frigerator door will not open with out making a noise. eeeeeet, no, but it's kindalike that.

anyway, my house almost fluded the other week, but I was out of town working in the mnts. it got about a foot from my back patio thing, and my room mate put all the cords up off the floor. I figured that if my house fluded than I would just get new things. that was 11.9. it might snow tonight.
